So, it's happened again. I couldn't stay away for very long. You can't blame me. The allure is hard to resist. Plus it's just darn fun. I know, I know, I should feel ashamed. I told myself I quit. But I just had to do one more. Just one more. After that, I can quit anytime.
That's right. I started another webcomic.
The last time I did a webcomic was about four years ago. From January 2008 to November 2009, I did a daily webcomic called
Kastle Comics that was all about me and my job working as the girl in the comic book shop. It was a lot of fun, and it was a very cool learning experience, having to draw a new comic every day and keep up with it on a regular basis. While I don't draw it anymore, the whole archive is still up online, so you can read the whole thing if you have some time to kill.
This time I'm doing something kind of similar. I'm making a comic strip about me and my siblings and all the madness and mayhem we used to cause when we were little. It's always been a thing in our family to tell stories of when we were kids, and try to one-up each other by seeing who had the most outrageous or stupid thing that we did. And there was a lot of stupid stuff that we did, believe you me.
So anyway, with all these stories and all this story-telling going on, I guess it's only natural that I soon decided that I wanted to do a comic about it all. I've wanted to do it for a long time, actually, but (and I don't know if you're aware of this or not) webcomics can be very time-consuming projects, and I just didn't have the time to do a big long comic thing. Until now! With my current (and unfortunate) status of unemployment, I have an abundance of free time on my hands. I also found a style to draw this comic in that lets me get a lot of pages done in a short amount of time, with a super cute result.
Long story short, I'm drawing
Fluffernutters! I highly recommend heading over there and checking it out. I don't know how consistently I'll be updating it (I'm hoping for every weekday) but I can guarantee that every day this week will have an update for sure.
So that's what I'm doing now. Keep in mind, I'm also still doing commissions at a low rate, so if you find yourself with an extra twenty bucks you don't know what else to do with, feel free to give me a holler. Either send me a devNote or email me at ninja.shira@gmail.com.
