Continuing character designs for the thingy I'm working on. This is the Goddess of Creation, worshipped by the people of G-Land, which we are now officially calling Solais. Goddess doesn't have a name yet, but we're working on it.

This is the original design for the Goddess. I really really didn't like it. Badly drawn, bad design, ugly face, etc.. etc... My big reason for redoing her, though, was I wanted to take away some of the Human Factor. She's a Goddess, she should seem more than human. Thus, her new design.

Coming Soon: God of Destruction, Assal.

The ring around the end of the hair seems to be quite a popular idea. Now I have to try it. :)

I love this. All the little touches, especially the antlers and the way you drew the feet, really make this picture. I hope she's in the story a lot.

The character designs are coming so well. ;__;

Mm... though sometimes it seems familiar, there's alot of Tales inspiration isn't there? :D Especially in the older design (Though they're both so pretty! I like this one better, though...)

Yeah, I was actually playing Tales of Legendia when I originally thought of the concept for this, but it's gone so far away from my original idea that it's nothing like Tales anymore, which makes me happy. I'm not the world's most original person, but my friend Rob took my lame idea and went with it, and it rocks now.

And yeah, I'm trying to make the character designs less Tales, but I also wanna try and capture some of that typical video game character feel. It's challenging, but fun. :)

i know you assked in one of your previous character design sheets if we thought they looked like anyone/thing else, so i guess i'll extend that to here... she sort of reminds me of the god thingy from princess mononoke - the nightwalker in his daytime form
