Light of the Shikon

Well, during this seemingly endless inspirational funk, I did manage to draw a decent picture of Naraku, and finally got around to coloring it today. I think I started coloring it around 7-ish, and just finished now, at 11:20-something. So it took almost 4 1/2 hours to color.... Not bad. I just amazed that I managed to sit still for that long . ^___^

Sooo, anyway. It's Naraku. With the Shikon no Tama.... the light should probably be black, since it'd be tainted by Naraku.... I just thought of that. Oh well! ^__^

For the most part, I like how this turned out, but I don't think I like how the Shikony light turned out, but I couldn't think of any other way to do it.... I used the technique described on Neon Dragon Art for doing sun/moon rays, thinking the same theory applied to this as it did to that. I still think the same basic idea is behind it, I'd just have to tweak it differently for it to really work out right. But, when you're experimenting, you win some, you lose some. ^^

Once again, there were plenty of people who refused to believe that I drew this, claiming that I traced it or printed it out or whatever..... but poo on them anyway. ^____^ And yay for my geometry teacher maybe getting fired this weekend! Cross your fingers that she gets gotten rid of!!

Oh, and pray to your muses that I get out of this stupid inspiratinal artist-block funk thing. It's way no fun.

EDIT: I just realized that his left arm (our right) is too short..... neh..... so just ignore that, okay? ^__^;;
