I've wanted to draw some Samurai Jack fanart for a super long time, but I just never had the inspiration for a great picture. But earlier tonight, I saw the Rave in the Forest episode, and I was just, "oh em gee, I HAVE to draw Rave Jack!"
So here it is, my Rave Samurai. The picture is a little busy, but I like it!
I didn't wanna go straight Samurai jack style, because while I absolutely LOVE the art style in that show, that's just not my cup of tea when it comes to drawing. But I went a little more graphic with the lines than I usually do to sort of give it the same kinda flair.
I admire the concept of this digital illustration. Samurai Jack, although I have never seen it, looks to be a good series to look to for some inspiration! Way to be inspired! The colours, although they are a little busy, seem to really represent what this "Rave Samurai" is all about. Obviously, being a rave, there would be a menagerie of colours, lights, sound - this all really comes forth from the work. I would totally party with this samurai! The line art is clean, which is always good with this sort of illustrative style, and the proportions are spot on. I enjoy this work very much, and look forward to works that you will produce in the future, as I have been watching your gallery grow for a very long time now. Thank you for sharing this work, and keep on being creative cat!
