So I just finished reading The Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld, and that series is just BEGGING to be an anime. Seriously. Basically, at midnight, time stops and turns blue, and only people born at exactly midnight are aware of it. They can walk around and they have powers to fight off the demons in the midnight and stuff. SO cool.

So, going from left to right, we have...

Melissa the Mindcaster. She's like a telepath. Talk to you in your mind, hear your thoughts, change your memories kinda chick.

Rex the Seer. He can see traces of the demons and midnight, and he can tell other midnighters just by looking at them.

Jessica the Fire-Bringer. Normally, fire and electronics don't work inside the midnight, but if she's touching it, it'll work.

Dess the Polymath. She can do ridiculously complex math in her head, and sees numbers and patterns in EVERYTHING. She's weilding her favorite midnight weapon, Resplendently Scintillating Illustrations, a former mic stand.

And Jonathan the Acrobat. Gravity doesn't exactly apply to him in midnight, so he can fly and jump all over the place.
