So my Prickly City run is over, and it was great. People loved it all over the place. Apparently there was a call or two yesterday about "encouraging violence against Nancy Pelosi" but that's only to be expected from Pelosi fans. The majority of the readers just loved it, so I deem it a complete success!
And as a direct result of my Prickly City week, I got an offer from Realbuzz Studios to do a little something. They have a Christian-themed inspirational manga called "Serenity," and they asked me to do a little ten-page short story for it. I am all kinds of excited about that! This is so cool! I love doing stuff like this! Every time I get a job offer like this, it really encourages me and makes me think that maybe I really can do this for a living. Maybe I really am good enough to make it "out there" as an artist. Maybe I could totally do this.
Anyway! Me and my friends all went to East Meets South this weekend. I won't go into a detailed con report, but it's not necessary. Just by looking at this one picture, you will get the general mood of the whole con. This picture. We were like that all weekend, and it was greatness. The official con song somehow ended up being "Working for the Weekend" and we discovered that babies are grown in Boise, Idaho like potatoes.
And I'm getting my driver's liscence on Tuesday! Good things all around!

I am so excited for you, hon, I really am! I love that whole living-your-dreams thing too, so you can imagine how squee-y and cheer-y I am over here.
